The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) is hosting a webinar on November 7 to discuss the new FFIEC IT Examination Handbook Development, Acquisition, and Maintenance Booklet.

The FFIEC members revised and renamed the Development and Acquisition booklet to Development, Acquisition, and Maintenance to reflect the changing technological environment and increasing need for security and resilience, including developmental design, acquisition and procurement, and maintenance and change control processes for information technology systems. It also provides examiners with fundamental examination expectations regarding developmental quality controls, acquisition and procurement planning and execution, governance and risk management, and maintenance and change control practices of regulated entities.
