The National Credit Union Administration has announced a new date for its public hearing on the staff draft budget for 2026-2027. The public hearing will be held on November 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern at NCUA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. NCUA also noticed the budget hearing in the Federal Register.
The NCUA published the 2026–2027 staff draft budget in the Federal Register on September 29, 2025. The deadline for written comments on the staff draft budget has been extended until November 7, 2025. The proposed budget can be found on the Budget and Supplementary Materials page on NCUA’s website.
The public budget hearing will be live streamed on NCUA’s webpage on November 5, 2025.
To appear in person at the public hearing on November 5, 2025:
- Interested parties must email their request to BudgetHearing@ncua.gov by October 30, 2025. The email must include the requestor’s name, title, affiliation, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
- The email must clarify if the individual wishes to attend or if the individual wishes to attend and present.
- The NCUA Board Secretary will inform presenters on October 31, 2025, if they have been approved to make a presentation.
- In order to appear at the public hearing, approved presenters must submit their statement in advance. Statements must be submitted to BudgetHearing@ncua.gov by 1:00 p.m. Eastern on November 3, 2025.
- Presenters will be allotted five minutes during the budget hearing to deliver their remarks.

- Submit comments on Docket # NCUA-2025-0543 at the Federal eRulemaking Portal by November 7, 2025.
