The comment period for NCUA's staff draft budget for 2027–2028 is until November 30, 2026.
The proposed combined 2027 budget is $325.4 million, a 2.9 percent increase compared to the 2026 budget and is made up of three separate budgets. The proposed operating budget is $312.4 million, the proposed capital budget is $7.9 million, and the proposed Share Insurance Fund administrative budget is $5.1 million. The agency will hold a public budget hearing at its Central Office on Tuesday, November 17, beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern. The meeting will be livestreamed on NCUA.gov.
