Credit unions wanting to learn more about how the IRS’s VITA program can benefit them and their communities are invited to attend a webinar hosted by the National Credit Union Administration on September 30.

Registration for this webinar, “How the IRS Vita Program Can Serve Your Community,” is now open. The webinar is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Eastern and is expected to run approximately one hour. It will include a live question-and-answer session.

The webinar will inform credit unions on how they can benefit from this free program and its expert tax preparation volunteers. Guest speakers from the IRS and a credit union that successfully implemented VITA into their programming will share their insights. Attendees will learn how to integrate VITA programs into their credit unions, engage their members and communities, and review data on the program’s success within credit unions.

This webinar will be close captioned, and there is no charge. Participants will be able to log in and view the event on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should allow pop-ups from this website.

Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance by emailing WebinarQuestions@ncua.gov. The email’s subject line should read, “IRS VITA Program.” Please email technical questions about accessing the webinar to either uccwebinar@ncua.gov or uccsupport@ncua.gov.
