ALEXANDRIA, Va. (June 20, 2023) – Registration is now open for the National Credit Union Administration’s fourth summit focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The in-person event will take place November 1–2, 2023, at the Hilton Washington D.C. Capitol Hill.
“We have made some strides in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the credit union system, but there is much more we can still do to create a more equitable financial system,” NCUA Chairman Todd M. Harper said. “The 2023 DEI Summit will build on our earlier conferences by bringing together stakeholders and leaders to share their thoughts and best practices on how to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and allyship within the credit union system and at the NCUA. I encourage all stakeholders to participate in this year’s Summit.”
The theme of this year’s Summit is DEI: It Starts With Me. Attendees will explore the value proposition of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the credit union industry and at the NCUA; share best practices; develop solutions to industry-specific challenges; and network with one another. Formal registration is open, and there is no charge for this event.
The Summit will include panel discussions with experts and practitioners in diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with fireside chats, roundtables, and keynote speakers. Session topics will cover a wide range of DEI-related areas, and attendees will also be able to participate in half-day DEI workshops.
Additional information, including the Summit agenda, is available on the 2023 DEI Summit web page.
